Bauke & Evie Deelstra

Many Albanians live in poverty, without hope. We want to bring them the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Bauke (1988) en Evie (1993) Deelstra want to share their love for Jesus with the people of Albania. In November 2019, they moved to this Balkan country. Together with their daughters Marije and Naomi they live on the outskirts of the capital Tirana.

Albania has a special place in the heart of Bauke and Evie. Every summer since 2010 they visited an Albanian village together with people from their church. They organised a ten-day programme with, amongst other activities, a Bible play for children, a women's meeting and youth evenings. They also visited the elderly and families. In doing so, they reached the whole village with the Gospel.

Many Albanians are not familiar with the Gospel, partly because of the communistic past of their country. After witnessing for many summers how much joy it brings to share the Gospel, Bauke and Evie have felt the calling to move to Albania for a longer period. Evie longs to help mentally challenged people. Bauke wants to share the Gospel by using social media.
